Here is the second volume of this series, derived from Percy Jackson, which I enjoyed.
If the first volume had won me over, despite some minor flaws, this second volume seemed a little less wonderful.
Indeed, we find that both Percy Jackson. Our hero has lost part of his memory. He remembers his name, he is a demigod son of Poseidon / Neptune.
But nothing else.
He landed in a camp demigods ... Romans!
In fact, as you probably know, the Greek Gods, under Roman influence, have been renamed. Some have lost or gained some character traits. This is the case here.
For example, children of Neptune are known to bring bad luck.
Ares, who is supposed to be a big, bad drive (if not c **) is weighted here. Almost before the comprehensive contempt displayed by Percy in front of him, while the version of Ares would demand a duel.
What is especially interesting in this book are the differences between the two camps. The colony of mixed-bloods aptly named because despite the trainings that we can find, it is pretty nice to live. The Roman camps, he is more of a city governed by the same rules as ancient Rome.
Nevertheless, the negative ultimately just slow. For anyone who knows Percy Jackson and loved this series, this second volume seems longish, with a timid Percy and a little slow, which is explained by the loss of memory, of course.
His two companions quests, Hazel and Frank leave them, their pins in the game Hazel child of Pluto that should not exist and has powers that terrifies her, and Frank, the great benet, which is nevertheless heir a great and amazing line, and will demonstrate leadership abilities away from his character in the first pages.
I did not like this second camp, which takes far too seriously for such young children. But it is fascinating to see that the strict rules prevailing there allowed demigods grow in peace, raise families and live like everyone or almost, that is not found in the colony Percy
Several characters are gaining importance, although some I have published plagiarized from the original series. Gaia, as Chronos in his time talking to Percy through dreams and want to use some demigods for its projects. Just called, now that I know the Percy Jackson.
Other wicked, they do not break a three-legged duck and are still easily beaten by our heroes, then I would have liked it to be more complicated.
But the discovery of the Amazons (I love the parallel with a well-known site!) Harpies and especially Ella, and the shenanigans of Octavian, a Demi-gods that made me think I have the late Luke away.
The end of this volume suggests an even better and rich entertainment which will seem like a long time away!
So I would say I had a great time, and I expect even better for the next book
