I heard a lot of this series on the blogosphere. Having a little trouble with the collections of short stories, I was not particularly interested in it.
I had the opportunity to discover the twelfth book in the series, and although I really enjoyed my reading, I admit that I have not been washed.
What is nice is that it is not necessary to have read the previous volumes in order to get started. Which is important when the series already has 12 volumes.
Each volume is sufficient in itself, and it is the same for stories, three apparently by volume, which are completely independent of each other.
In this volume, we find the first part the story of Liam, a young boy who, for a TP of chemistry, is the victim of an unfortunate accident that caused him to lose sight. He underwent a transplant healing him. But since then, horrible nightmares and visions beset him. Until he discovered a terrible truth.
The second story that we follow a group of young school visit to a wax museum and part company with their group. This will cause them a lot of trouble.
The third and final story is the story of Becky who had better not wear some dresses.
All stories have a background of suspense and horror, but release teenager. I did not feel chills or fears ... A child in my surroundings, a dozen years, told me love and have been "really scared sometimes."
If writing is fluid, simple and upbeat, the stories are still quite predictable. Fortunately, they are short enough to prevent boredom arrives.
I can not say I was thrilled. I found it pretty low frame and outcome, because some of the stories I have seem to closely resemble the pounds or more adult movies, which gave me the impression of reading children's release. But this is still a very good entry in the horror category for children
